Rydo, is an Australian taxi and hire car booking app. It combines the best strengths of taxi and rideshare services together in its platform.

The Rydo platform connects drivers with more passengers and offers customers an easy way to book or pre-book rides. Rydo has been a long time client of AiiMs Group. Their goal for their marketing campaigns was growth. Our personal goal for them in achieving this target was to showcase and position them as ‘Australia’s Uber’ and the only true choice for taxi and ride share in the nation.

Initial impressions & audit
Rydo has been a long time client in the company, making continual improvements and new greater wins as the brand has grown in partnership with AIIMS. Through that time, the AIIMS group has also grown alongside Rydo with our skills, people, solutions and capabilities.

From the start of this year, Jono, a newer but knowledgeable and hungry SEO analyst at AIIMS, jumped onto the account.

He did a complete audit and made recommendations to revise the entire strategy to position Rydo well organically for the latest search behaviour of its audiences and strong competitively against alternative taxi, hire car and rideshare services.

In collaboration with the client, he created documentation and provided a full analysis of the competition. This research revealed some verticals that Rydo was not yet tapping into, but made sense for the company to. Cheerfully, Rydo was keen to take this on.

Bringing to life the design vision

Sophisticated visuals & unique branding elements
The decision to remove the logo from its circular enclosure was about giving it room to breathe and increasing its versatility across different mediums, from billboards to social media.

The blend of luxury real photos and vector images was intentional to create a balance between sophistication and modern vibrancy, with the bold orange acting as a key visual anchor. This combination ensured that the brand could appeal to a broad demographic while maintaining a premium, polished feel. This was important as the goal was to craft a cohesive, striking visual identity that would not only capture attention but also ensure that people in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane instantly recognised Rydo.

The finished design was meant to leave a lasting impression, enhancing brand recall and reinforcing Rydo’s position as a standout, modern transportation service.

Broadening awareness of the brand to everyday Australians

Social Media was a great channel for Rydo to engage and re-engage with Rydo’s most relevant audience in places where they were relaxing, socialising, and often planning their social trips and outings. For Rydo’s marketing campaign, Social Media worked as a strong ‘brand awareness’ agent.

Our Social Media strategy incorporated both a broad and targeted reach across the ‘Meta’-verse: Facebook and Instagram; as well as the fastest Gen-Z growing platform, Tiktok.

Creating dynamic visuals with Rydo’s authentic spark to stop the scroll & drive true engagement

Rydo didn’t know immediately what approach they wanted to go through for productions. Rydo was very open to the suggestions of the AIIMS Production team, and gave us lots of freedom when it came to the visuals and overall theme of the project.

Our Concepts for Production
They were thinking that they were just a taxi company. We saw that differently—and we wanted them to see that too.
We wanted to make them feel like a premium style taxi service. ‘Australia’s version of Uber,’ but even better. They had so much more services than Uber did, and we were going to showcase that through video and all other creatives. In all our shots, we highlighted all the things that you didn’t get or just weren’t assured with other providers: air conditioning, bottled water, a charger for your phone, and Rydo lets you pay cash.

We also shot visuals that showcased just how easy and helpful the booking app was to use.
